Lighting Minds, Living Values – The Teacher Who Inspires by Example
Few teachers truly embody the sacred essence of “Aasiriyam Arappani” — the noble service of teaching as a path of righteousness.
Dr. R. Brindhavathi, Assistant Professor in the Department of Tamil at Sri Krishnaswamy College for Women, Anna Nagar, Chennai, has been one such guiding light — nurturing intellect, discipline, and human values in her students for over a decade.
🎓 Academic Journey – A Scholar’s Path
Dr. Brindhavathi’s educational journey began under the loving guidance of her mother, who encouraged her to pursue higher studies in Tamil.
After completing her schooling, she joined the Mayilam Sri Math Sivagnanabalaya Swamigal Tamil College, where her professors’ inspiring lectures kindled her deep love for the Tamil language.
Driven by this passion, she pursued her M.A. in Tamil at the University of Madras.
It was here that her revered mentor, Dr. Ilacharam, sowed the seed of her life’s mission — to become a university professor through the UGC JRF examination.
Her dedication bore fruit early; she cleared the UGC JRF during her postgraduation and went on to complete her Ph.D. at the same university — a milestone that marked the beginning of her luminous teaching career.
🧑🏫 Teaching Career – A Decade of Dedication
